  1. SUSTAINABLE CONSERVATION [ EX SITU & IN SITU ] OF MEDICINAL & AROMATIC PLANTS –MAP , HAVING MARKET POTENTIALITIES GROWING IN DIFFERENT DISTRICTS OF WEST BENGAL

    The Project is submitted to Deptt. of  Science & Technology, Govt. of West Bengal, Bikash Bhavan, Kolkata 64.

    This is a research based project for the quantification of West Bengal’s Medicinal flora ; their in situ and ex situ sustainable conservation and studies on their pharmacopeal quality in relation to market price , which will be a valuable basis for initiating and developing sustainable cultivation of different Medicinal & Aromatic plants ; thereby assuring their firm conservation.  The findings of the study will be the basis for potential entrepreneur(s) to select feasible project(s) relating to conservation vis-à-vis cultivation in different districts of West Bengal and give necessary guidance.

    The Project contemplated with the assistance of Prof. Dr. S.K. Chatterjee PhD(USA) FAScT. Ex Prof & Dean Burdwan University and Ex Director of Medicinal Plants of W.B. and MD, WBPPDCL.
  2. ESTABLISHMENT OF NURSERY BY ENTREPRENEURS STRENGTHNING OF DEPARTMENTAL NURSERIES, PROCUREMENT AND PRODUCTION OF QUALITY SEEDS / RHIZOMES AND PLANTING MATERIALS

    The Project No. 5 was submitted under High Value agriculture programme in Andaman & Nicobar Island during X th Plan.

    The Project conceived by Prof S.K. Chatterjee and Dr. D.C. Pal ( Ex. Sr. Scientist Botanical Survey of India) and prepared by Horticulture Development Foundation in 2005 -2006 Financial year.

  3. PANAGARH CITRONELLA / LEMON GRASS PLANT – PLANTATION CUM DISTILLATION UNIT

    The above project of URBI Enterprises an unit of Standard Pharmaceuticals was surveyed by the team from HDF. A report will be submitted to revamp the present project with addition of Eucalyptus citriodora Plantation.
